Dreams Of You
By Belladonna
Stroke me, love me, hold me, hug me;
Tender kisses, touching softly;
Wishes go unanswered, yes,
But I would kill for one caress.

Words unsaid and minds in peril;
Love won't do but maybe Lust will.
Just for one sweet sultry whisper,
Just for breath, the flame will flicker.

Time and water stop in motion;
Sealife ceases in the ocean.
Birds will stop their wings in flight,
And cats will stop, their prey in sight.

For one moment just with you
I'd sell my soul and say adieu
To all my wishes, hopes, and dreams,
If your smile, in them, won't gleam.

If your eyes don't shine on me
And if your hair, I just can't see;
If I can't ask you for more
And if my cheek cannot grace yours

I'll see you in my dreams and smile
When you hold me close a while.
I'll wish for you when stars come down
And never see your face and frown.

I'll hope to catch a glimpse of you
On the silver screen of new;
In pictures I have not yet seen
In visions I have yet to dream.

Maybe we will never meet,
And maybe I will have to weep.
But your sweet face will remain
In my mind for me to claim.

You will never ask me how
I feel when life gets me down.
And in my soul your eyes will keep
Their burning gaze in the deep.

I'll never see concern you get
If I should fall or say I bet
That life will come down on my dreams
And take my hopes so quietly.

You will never wipe my face
When tears stream down and just in case
I'll keep some tissues next to me
When your face is on the screen.

I'll keep a pillow on the table
For cases when I'm not able
To keep it up, chin held so high;
When, in my mind, your face runs by.

I'll keep a teddy near my face
When my heart starts to race,
If I have a dream where I
Am forced to wave and say goodbye.

My heart will no doubt break in two
When I am forced to turn from you.
The realization comes into view
But I might not know what to do.

I will have no choice but to turn
And feel my heart and soul be burned,
But it will be for the good of me
And I will see you in my dreams.
