Driving Oded
By Dedi’s Lady Hawk
Chapter 8 - New Beginnings
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Lacy was standing in front of the full-length mirror holding her dress in front of her. Their wedding was only a few months away and there was still so much to do. She looked at the dress a smile on her lips. She could hardly believe she was getting married, and to a man like Oded; it was like a wonderful dream.
She was pulled from her thoughts as she heard the front door slam. She moved quickly to put her dress away. She knew he’d be coming right upstairs. Thank God she had locked the door. She raced to put her dress in the chest and shut it as he reached the door. She heard the doorknob rattle as he tried to gain access to their bedroom. Then she heard that unmistakable voice.
“Baby,” he called through the door, “What are you doing in there?”
“Hold on,” she said as she rushed to put stuff away.
“I need to shower,” he said.
“I know, just a second,” she said as she shoved her veil in the box and put it in the closet. She walked over to the door and unlocked it. She smiled as she saw him standing there in his shorts and muscle shirt.
“What were you doing?” he asked.
“I had wedding stuff all over in here,” she said, “You’re back early,”
“I’m sorry hon,” he said, “I just decided to come back,” he said kissing her, “Didn’t mean to throw you,”
“It’s just you know how I feel about you seeing my dress,” she said as he moved past her.
“I know sweetie,” he said, “I’m sorry,”
“It’s all right,” she said, “So, when are you going to tell me this good news of yours?”
“Let me shower,” he said drawing her close, “Then I’ll tell you,” he kissed her lips and walked towards the bathroom.
She watched him as he walked
into the bathroom and stripped his muscle shirt from his lean body. He dropped
it into the hamper before reaching in to turn the shower on. Lacy sat on the
bed for a moment watching him. They had successfully moved back to
The apartment my have been small but she made it a home for them. She was now busy trying to plan a wedding. She was doing her best despite his little obstacle. “How can I plan a wedding when I don’t know where we’re having the ceremony?” she had asked. He just gave her that smile and told her to trust him. How could she not? Of course she had gotten him back when she approached him about having a Jewish wedding ceremony. They were entering into a mixed marriage of sorts, so he agreed knowing it would also appease his mother.
She rose from the bed reaching for her shirt and pulling it over her head. He knew damn well she couldn’t resist the sight of him in the shower, the hot water trailing over his chiseled body. She stripped off her clothes and stood in the doorway for a moment watching him as he washed himself. The sight of the soap bubbles sliding over his bronze skin just made her more aroused as she watched him. She stepped towards the shower and he opened his eyes smiling at her.
“What took you so long?” he asked with a smile.
“Just admiring the view,” she said as he drew her close.
“I see,” he said before he kissed her lips. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders as he hugged her to him. He then looked into her eyes.
“Ded,” she said, “Please tell me what the news is this is killing me,” he smiled as he let out a deep sigh.
“All right,” he said, “I was offered a new show,”
“Another show,” she smiled, “Ded that’s wonderful, what’s it about?”
“That’s what I want to talk to you about,”
“They don’t want you to play a bad guy do they?” she asked.
“No, I’d be playing a doctor,” he said, “However,” he stopped.
“Oh, I don’t like the sound of that,” she said.
“I’d
be playing Dr. Nicholas Kokoris,” he said, “A Greek surgeon who relocates to
a hospital in
“And?” she said.
“And who’s having an affair with a female doctor there, played by Dana Delaney,” he said.
“Dana
Delaney,” she said thinking for a minute, “Wait a minute, she was on
“Well that’s who they cast but the thing is,” he looked at her, “Her characters married,”
“Married?” she said, “They want you to play an adulterer? Ded, I don’t know,”
“It’s just acting,” he said.
“But that’s not you, I don’t know,” she pulled from his arms, “And the idea of you kissing another woman, pretending to make love to her,”
“That’s all it is,” he said reaching for her, “It’s pretend,” he turned her to him, “Come here,” he said pulling her close, “Feel,”
He pressed his lips to hers and he kissed her but there was no penetration in the kiss, just the pressure of his lips on hers, no passion, just pressure. He moved from her and saw the confusion in her eyes.
“That’s how I will kiss her,” he said, “This is how I kiss you,” he pressed his lips to her once more this time slipping his tongue into her mouth. She moaned as she felt him tasting her, probing her gently as her arms came around his shoulders. He moved his hand up cupping her head in his hand as he continued to taste her. He slowly softened the kiss and looked into her eyes, “Only you will feel my love,”
“Ded,” she said softly.
“I love you Lacy,” he said.
“I love you too,” she said hugging tight, “Take the job,” she said, “I’ll support you,”
“Thank you sweetheart,” he said caressing her cheek.
They showered and afterwards Lacy pulled on some clothes and headed down to start dinner. He came down soon after and walked over seeing the box on the table. He lifted the lid and smiled as he looked inside.
“Are these the invitations?” he asked.
“Yeah,” she said, “I hated to get so many, seems like such a waste since we’re not having a big fancy ceremony,”
“There’s what a hundred here?” he said.
“Yes,” she said, “That was the smallest amount I could get of that kind,”
He took one out and smiled as he looked at the cover. They were simple with the silhouette of a couple on the front, their names embossed in a Sapphire blue. He opened it up reading the lettering seeing their names, and no location given. He had maps made up to be placed inside for the guests. He knew it was driving her crazy but he wanted it to be a wonderful surprise for her. He set the invitation back down and walked over to her.
“They’re beautiful,” he said as he slipped his arms around her waist, “But stop worrying about the money, we’re all right,”
“I’m sorry,” she said, “It’s just habit,”
“Well break it please,” he said kissing her neck, “We’re doing just fine. Do you have the list so I can make out those checks?”
“Yes,” she said moving from his arms. She went to her folder and handed him the list, “That’s the florist, and for my dress, and the reception hall. Also there’s a rough estimate from the caterer and we need to give the photographer his deposit,” he set it aside and drew her into his arms once more.
“Hey,” he said, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” she said, “I’m sorry Ded, it’s just I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed as of late. There just seems to be so much to do,”
“You should have let me hire someone to help you,” he said.
“No,” she said, “Tina’s been helping me and we’re getting there, it’s just… There’s still so much to do,”
“Tell you what,” he said caressing her cheek, “Let me finish dinner and you,” he said leading her into the living room, “Sit down and relax,” he made her sit down on the couch before heading back into the kitchen.
She curled up on the couch and let her eyes flutter shut for a moment. She hadn’t even realized that she had drifted off until she him gently wake her up. She opened her eyes to see him looking at her. He gave her a soft smile as she stretched a bit.
“Dinner’s ready,” he said softly.
“Mmm,” she sighed, “I’m sorry I fell asleep,”
“It’s okay sweetheart,” he said, “Come on,”
He helped her up and took her over to the table. They ate their dinner and he cleaned up afterwards. She went upstairs and he found her laying on the bed with her back to him. He knew what was wrong; it happened every so often, she was thinking about the baby she lost. He knew at those times it was best just to leave her be. She had a way of letting him know what she needed from him. He slipped his shoes and moved to lie on the bed next to her. He put his hands under his head and just stared up at the ceiling for a while.
She looked at him lying there and she smiled. He was so understanding, so patient, and all hers. She moved closer to him and he shifted as she lay on his chest. He brought a hand down stroking her hair before letting it glide over her back. She lifted her head and looked in his eyes before she moved in and kissed his lips. He cupped her head in his hand as she stroked his lips seeking entrance to his mouth.
He rolled with her pressing her to the mattress as she wrapped herself around his frame. He probed her mouth slowly, causing her to moan with desire before he moved on to her neck. A shiver passed through her as he nipped gently at her skin, tracing the contours of her neck with his tongue. She ran her fingers through his hair as she pressed against him.
“Ded,” she whispered, “Darling,”
“Lacy,” he murmured against her skin, “I love you,”
“I love you too,” she answered as he kissed across her neck to her throat.
He made love to her slowly savoring her body, and afterwards she laid in his arms her eyes heavy. He watched her as her eyes fluttered shut and she relaxed in his arms. He could hardly wait to make her his wife.

Their wedding came fast as did a lot of changes. He started filming on the new show that was scheduled to start airing in the fall, and they had decided to look at a larger place. If they were going to start a family, they were going to need more room.
His instance at keeping the location of the wedding secret from her made for an interesting rehearsal, which they held in the reception hall instead. Lacy was frustrated by his plans but when she saw that smile on his face, she couldn’t deny him surprises.
The nerve-racking part for Lacy was meeting his family. They had been together nearly two years and now the day before their wedding was the first time she would actually meet them face-to-face. They had talked on the phone a bit but this was something different.
He could tell she was nervous as he held her close to his side, but his mother simply smiled as she embraced Lacy. They had a wonderful dinner and she hated saying goodbye to him, but they were going to keep with tradition. He was going to the hotel to stay with his brother for the night, and Tina would stay with Lacy at the apartment. He lingered giving her a passionate kiss that made her melt before slipping from her arms.
That night as she slept in bed alone all she could do was think about him. She missed having him next to her. She heard music playing and realized her cell phone was ringing. She reached over and picked it up. She hit the button and placed it to her ear.
“Hello?” she said.
“Hey sweetheart,” came his voice.
“Ded,” she smiled, “What are you doing?”
“Besides missing you deeply,”
“Me too,” she said.
“Well I just had to tell you I love you before I go to sleep,” he said.
“I love you too,” she said, “I miss you,”
“I miss you too sweetie,” he said, “Just think this time tomorrow you’ll be my wife,”
“I can hardly wait,” she said.
“Me too baby,” he said, “Get some rest and I’ll met you at the alter,”
“All right,” she said, “I love you Oded,”
“I love you too Lacy,” he said softly, “Night baby,”
“Night Dedi,” she said before she hung up.
~*~
The next morning Lacy was barely awake when Tina walked up to the bed. She ripped back the sheets with a wicked glimmer in her eyes as her friend looked up at her dazed.
“What are you doing?” asked Lacy.
“Come on,” she said, “We’ve got a big day ahead of us,” said Tina, “Get your clothes hon, we’re going for breakfast,”
“Oh I don’t know if I can eat,” said Lacy, sitting up, “I’m too excited, I hardly slept,”
“Well come girl. We’ve got a car waiting for us. A little breakfast, a little shopping, then we’re off to the spa to get you ready for tonight. Come, you’re getting married,” said Tina pulling her friend to her feet, “In a few hours you are going to be Mrs. Oded Fehr,”
“God,” said Lacy, “That sounds nice,”
“Lacy Fehr,” said Tina, “Has a nice ring to it,”
“Wow,” she said softly, “We’re really getting married,”
“Yeah,” said Tina, “You’re not having second thoughts?”
“No,” said Lacy, “God no, I love Oded, more then anything. It’s just…I keep thinking this is all a dream and I’m going to wake up and he’ll be gone,”
“Lacy, you’re not dreaming,” said Tina looking at her friend, “In fact you have struck gold with Oded. You have managed to find the last true nice guy left in this world,”
“You don’t really believe that,” said Lacy.
“Yes I do,” said Tina, “I’ve been out there a long time Lacy. Men like Oded are few and far between. He is a sweet and caring man and he loves you with all his heart. I can see it when he looks at you. He’s very special,”
“He is,” said Lacy, “Oh I love him so much,”
“I know,” said Tina, “That’s why you’re getting married,”
“I know,” said Lacy. She walked over and pulled a pair of jeans from the dress.
“Do you have your bags?”
“Ded took them last night,” said Lacy, “They should be waiting in our Suite,”
“Well then let’s get going,” said Tina, “I’ll take your dress down,”
“Everything should be in that bag,” said Lacy pulling on her T-shirt.
Lacy slipped on her shoes and grabbed up her other bag as Tina carried her dress downstairs. Lacy just about fell over when she saw it wasn’t just a car waiting for them but a white stretch limo. The driver helped them load everything into the car and soon they were on their way.
They were taken to Lacy’s favorite restaurant to have breakfast, which Oded had prepaid for, then Tina took her on a quick shopping spree to buy some clothes for their honeymoon. Then it was off to the spa. They got the works, getting massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. Then they fixed Lacy’s hair so they could pin her veil in.
They took her hair and piled it gracefully on top of her head before pinning in her hairpiece. It surrounded the mound of curls and were beautiful flowers formed out of rhinestones, and pearls. It had a silver hair and a two-tiered elbow length veil. Tina then took Lacy to help her get her dress on.
Her dress was stunning; it was a ball gown style with a Basque waist and off-the-shoulder neckline. It had short petal sleeves and was covered with detailed silver embroidery and beading. It had a corset bodice, and a chapel length train. The train bustled up under a rose in the back and it was just beautiful. She slipped on her platformed heels and looked in the mirror.
“Oh Lacy,” said Tina, “Oh honey you’re beautiful,”
“I think I’m going to cry,” said Lacy.
“Oh now don’t do that,” said Tina, “You’ll ruin your make-up,”
“I can’t help it,” said Lacy, “Oh I need jewelry,”
“I have that,” said Tina going to her bag. She came back with a large flat jewelry case.
“That’s not mine,” said Lacy.
“It’s from Oded,” said Tina, “This is your wedding gift from him,”
“Really?” she smiled. Tina opened it and Lacy raised her hands to her face as she gasped.
Inside was a beautiful Sapphire and diamond necklace set in silver. There was a little heart with three diamonds at the base of the chain, from it hung an oval pendant with an oval cut sapphire surrounded by diamonds. With it was a matching bracelet and earrings.
“Here,” said Tina removing the necklace, “Let me help you,” Tina helped her with her jewelry and looked at her, “So are you ready to get married?”
“Yes,” said Lacy.
“Then let’s go,”
Tina helped Lacy out to the Limo and soon they were on their way to the ceremony site. Lacy could hardly wait to walk down the aisle to him.
~*~
Oded came walking up the aisle towards his brother with a smile on his face. He couldn’t help but laugh when he saw him tug his collar.
“Don’t look so nervous,” said Oded, “I’m the one getting married,”
“I just hate these monkey suits,” he answered.
“Hey, do you have the rings?”
“Right here,” he said patting his coat pocket, “This is great man, she’s going to love it,”
“Well she wanted to incorporate both our faith’s,” he said looking at the canopy over head, “It’ll get mom off my back too,” he laughed.
“She’s a great girl Dedman. She’s crazy about you,”
“I know,” he said, “I’m going to go check on mom. Keep an eye open for the car,”
“You got it,” said his brother slapping him on the back.
He went back down the aisle and stopped in the foyer in front of the full-length mirror. He hadn’t been sure about a white tuxedo, but she was right, he looked pretty good. It was a single-breasted tuxedo jacket with three buttons. He wore it open though with a matching white vest, and trousers. The jacket had triple pleated satin lapels with a notched collar. The coat hung about half way down his thighs. He was actually pulling it off. He soon heard his brother.
“Hey you better get in the back, they’re here,” he said to Ded.
“I’m gone,” he smiled as he took off down the hall.
Lacy and Tina emerged from the Limo and she smiled as Oded’s brother came down the stairs to them. It was a beautiful little church, couldn’t have seated more the a hundred people or so. However, it was stunning with its stain glasses windows and high vaulted ceiling. As they helped her inside she could see into the sanctuary seeing all the lit candles and flowers. It was like a dream. They took her to a dressing room to wait. Lacy sat there with Tina nibbling carefully on a sandwich.
“You okay?” asked Tina.
“Yeah,” she said, “Just anxious, and hoping I don’t like trip on my dress or something,”
“Hey, you’ll be fine,” said Tina.
Soon there was a gentle rap on the door. It was his brother telling them it was time. Tina straightened her dress as Lacy picked up her bouquet of roses. She stepped out and moved down the corridor towards the sanctuary. Tina smiled at her.
“Just remember,” said Tina, “Breath,”
“I know,” said Lacy.
Lacy waited as Tina made her way down the aisle. She looked very elegant in her sapphire blue dress. It was A-line with a natural waist and an off-the-shoulder neckline. She made her way down and gave Oded a wink as she took her place. They changed the music and Lacy took a deep slow breath before stepping into view. Everyone stood and she started her way down the aisle towards him.
She smiled as she saw him standing there, that killer smile on his lips. She was only partly visible at first and he stepped up and got a full view of her as she glided towards him. He placed his hand over his heart at that moment as tears came to his eyes. She was breathtaking.
“She is an angel,” he said softly as he watched her.
She fought her own tears as she moved closer to him and at that moment she forgot there was anyone there but him. As she finally reached him he held out a hand to her and she took. He raised her hand and kissed the back of it before helping her up the steps with him.
He could feel her trembling as they stood there together but she managed to control herself. She focused on the Rabbi and the minister that stood before them. He held her gaze as they exchanged their vows and received their blessings. He couldn’t help but smile as he slipped the diamond eternity band onto her finger. She placed his band on his finger and he held her hands in his as they received their final blessings. Then came those magic words.
“By
the power vested in me by God and the state of
He stepped forward and drew her into his arms. She smiled as he leaned in and gently pressed his lips to hers. He kissed her briefly and she smiled at him more as he drew back. She took her bouquet from Tina as they turned to face their friends.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Mr. & Mrs. Oded Fehr,”
Everyone clapped as they made their way down the aisle and as soon as they were out of the sanctuary he pulled her close and kissed her again. She laughed as he gave her a spin and then looked at her.
“So how does it feel to be married?” he asked.
“Wonderful,” she said as she caressed his cheek, “I love you,”
“I love you too sweetheart,” he said.
They quickly moved people through the receiving line and moved on to picture. Finally they were on their way to the reception hall. They rode in the Limo and he held her close as they rode. She fingered the band on her finger as he kissed her shoulder.
“Happy?”
“Of course,” she said, “It was perfect Dedi, all of it. Thank you so much,”
“Thank you,” he said holding her close, “For loving me,”
“I do love you Oded, very much,”
“I know sweetheart, I love you too,” he kissed her again.
The reception was wonderful with lots of mouthwatering food. They all sat and talked and of course they had to stop several times to kiss for their guests. They cut the cake and soon it was time for the dance. Everyone watched as they shared their first dance as husband and wife. He couldn’t help but get lost in her eyes as they danced, they just sparkled with love, and it stole his breath.
They danced for a long time simply lost in each other until Tina mentioned the bouquet toss. Lacy threw her bouquet and they did the garter toss, before they mingled a bit. Lacy was having a nice time but she wanted to be alone with him. She pulled him onto the dance floor once more and as he held her close she whispered to him.
“Dedi,” she said softly.
“What baby?”
“I want to go,” she said.
“Are you sure?” he said, “We only get to have this night once,” he answered.
“Yes,” she said as her breath tickled his ear, “I want to make love to my husband,”
“Sounds good,” he said as he took her hand in his.
They slipped from the dance floor and quietly said goodbye to their family and friends. He had arranged the Bridal suite upstairs and he couldn’t help but kiss her as they rode up in the elevator. He led her to the suite and slipped the key in the door. He opened it and lifted her into his arms as she laughed. He carried her in kicking the door shut before setting her down.
She looked around as she moved through the suit. It was beautiful and she moved towards the bedroom as he followed her. She went to her bags and drew out a bag. He approached her placing his hands on her shoulders.
“What’s that?” he asked.
“A little something for me to slip into,” she said turning to him, “I’m going to change, I’ll be right out,”
“Okay,” he said.
She slipped into the bathroom and began removing her veil. She had to take out all the pins, and brush out her hair. She finally slipped from her dress and changed into her nightgown. It was a long white silk gown with thin straps and low back. It hugged her curves and she took a breath before moving from the bathroom.
He was sitting on the edge of the bed and stood when she stepped out. His eyes racked over her as she approached him and she could see the desire within him making them go dark. He was wearing only a pair of white silk pajama bottoms as he stood there.
“Lacy,” he said softly.
“You like it?” she asked.
“Yes,” he said reaching for her. As he drew her into his arms he felt her tremble, “Baby what’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong,”
“You’re trembling,” he said with a soft smile.
“Because I was always taught that this is what makes us married in God’s eyes,” she said, “The ceremony and such are all show, it’s the consummation that truly joins us together. We’re not just joining our bodies, we’re joining our hearts, our souls, everything,”
“I know baby,” he said caressing her cheek, “And it’s all right,”
He kissed her lips and he felt her hands on his waist as he parted her lips taking the kiss deeper. She slid her hands up his back pressing herself close to him as he kissed her. He moved his mouth from hers slowly kissing up her jaw line up to her ear. He nipped gently at her earlobe before moving down her neck. He reached up pulling her strap aside as he kissed her shoulder.
“Ded,” she whispered.
“My sweet Lacy,” he murmured. He reached down and lifted her into his arms moving to the bed with her.
He laid her down and smiled softly at her as she reached up and cupped his face. She drew him to her kissing his lips tenderly. He held her gaze as he reached up and took the strap of her gown in his hand. He drew one down and then the other revealing her breasts to him. He felt her shiver again as he took his fingers and let them trail lightly over her skin. She gasped as he caressed her slowly moving towards the sensitive peak of her breast. She was trembling hard as he touched her and then he moved in letting his tongue flick against the hardened peak.
She gasped again as he teased her tenderly before drawing her nipple into his mouth. She moaned as she felt him suckle her and she could feel the liquid heat building inside her all ready. He released one for the other as she moaned softly, and he repeated his sensual exploration of her breasts. He then drew her gown down kissing his way down her flat stomach.
He kissed across her skin as she sunk her fingers into his soft hair. He moved the gown lower over her hips drawing it down her legs. He moved up her body slowly tracing and tasting her skin as she shuddered and moaned softly. He soon moved up coaxing her legs apart and dipping his head to taste of her sweet nectar.
She cried out as he part her folds tasting her essence as he teased her. She was quivering as he continued his explorations snaking his tongue with her warm body. She moaned louder as he pushed inside her with his finger stroking her inner wall. She was hanging by a thread as he pleasured her and she was quickly breaking.
“Ded,” she gasped, “Oh god,”
He moved from the bed undoing his pajamas and slipping them off. He moved back to the bed settling himself between her legs as she shivered again.
“Easy sweetheart,” he said softly, “We’ve done this before,”
“I know Ded,” she whispered.
“I love you Lacy,” he said gently to her, “My beautiful wife,”
“Ded,” she answered, “My loving husband,”
He captured her lips as he pushed inside her feeling her tight clasp. One night without her had been too long and he gasped for air feeling her again. He held still for a moment feeing her body contract on him adjusting to him once more. He withdrew from her and pushed back inside as she moaned a sultry moan. He leveled himself against her body feeling the softness of her breasts against his chest as he moved against her.
It was a slow sensual advance that made her whole body catch fire. Each sensual thrust made a wave of pleasure break forth from within her. He watched as the pleasure played out on her face. Her eyes clouded with desire, the soft moans that broke forth from her lips fueling his desire for her. She ran her hands over his skin as he thrust into her harder, increasing his pace. She spread her legs wider, allowing him to sink deeper as he now raced them towards that sweet release.
She clutched at his back and ass as he moved against her, her moans turning to hard gasps as she felt the pleasure building with in. He could feel she was close and he struggled to keep in control until she was able to get there. Then it happened, she cried out loudly as her orgasm tore through, the power of it causing her back to arch. Her body clamped down on him causing him to cry out her name as he pumped his warmth into her body.
His head dropped to her shoulder as he tried to recover and he felt her body shake. He knew she was crying, it was so beautiful, so intense he had nearly expected her to react that way. He carefully moved from her and drew her close. She cuddled against him as he drew the covers over them and he held her close. He soon felt her relax in his arms.
“I love you,” she said softly.
“I love you too sweetheart,” he said gently, “Forever,”
“Forever,” she said as she drifted off to sleep.
The entire day had been perfect and he was very grateful. He knew their future would be bright no matter what happened, all they had to do was hold to each other and never let go.

Driving Oded – Chapter 9
