| The actors were in high spirits, the filming was nearly over. They had been all over Germany and Austria filming this time, the mummy brought to life in Germany. For once Tanith and Tracy had actually gone to Austria. Neither Tanith nor Tracy had flown before so what they did was to get a return flight from London to Frankfurt and then from Frankfurt to Klagenfurt. With a bit of luck they were on the same flight as the actors certainly to Klagenfurt and the return to London. That way they wouldn't be so scared with them there. Luckily the flight from London and from Frankfurt weren't as bad as they thought and it was the same flight as the actors on the way back. Tanith wondered if she could wangle a seat near or next to Oded. Tracy had already told Peter and he arranged for her to sit next to him. But Oded didn't know yet. A few of them were still a bit drunk from the party the night before including Tracy. Tanith didn't drink so she just packed her stuff and waited at the airport for the others. They boarded the plane, a 537 and Oded got a shock when he saw Tanith on the plane. "Any chance of sitting next to you on the flight? she asked. "Why not, you can sit by the window if you like" he replied. This surprised Tanith as he normally avoided the fans. Tracy whispered to her that Peter had said he was still drunk. "That would account for it" said Tanith For the first half hour of the flight. Oded was really chatty and seemed to be enjoying Taniths company. He had sobered up a bit, mainly because he had about 4 cups of coffee. It had started to rain as they left the airport and now it looked like they were heading into a full blown storm. They were flying over the Tauern chain of mountains just past Salzburg. The plane jerked around a lot and the "fasten your seatbelt" light came on. Tanith was getting nervous and gripped her seat, this was all she needed on only her 3rd flight. Oded noticed she was nervous and took hold of her hand. "Don't worry, we're safe, nothing can happen it's only a storm" "I know but I've only flown once before and I'm scared. I'm sorry I vowed I'd never be scared in front of you" she said. "Don't be silly, you'll find quite a few of us are nervous of flying, including me. I'm not over the moon about it" Up in the cockpit, the pilots were having problems because of the storm. Suddenly lights were flashing. "We've been hit, we're losing altitude, send a mayday now!" Tanith was looking out of the window at the mountains. They looked beautiful. As she watched she turned to Oded. "Those mountains look really close, should they be like that?" "We're higher than we look, it's like an illusion" replied Oded. He leant over to look, his expression changed and he looked at Tanith. "My God, we are too close, we're going to hit them" Back in the cockpit, the pilots were struggling to keep height when the navigation officer suddenly shouted. "Pull up, pull up, we're going to hit that one ahead of us" The mountain raced towards them as they tried to pull the plane up and overit. But it was too late. The main part of the plane cleared the mountain but the right wing smashed into it and broke away, under the strain the other wing fell off. They were like a torpedo shooting through the sky. Suddenly the tail section broke off completely, taking with it about 20 people. The remaining part of the plane came down on the side of the mountain and slid down the side like a roller coaster. About 4 people were sucked out the back. It seemed to gain speed on the snow when suddenly it hit a snowdrift and came to an abrupt halt, killing the pilots instantly. Everyone left inside shot forward causing death and injuries. As the wing of the-plane hit the mountain, back in the plane, people 6 started screaming, people were hugging each other and Tanith buried her head into Oded who in turn held her. There was an almighty crack as the tail section came off taking with it about 20 people. A steward and 3 other passengers were sucked out of the hole. As the plane hit the snow and gathered speed, the screaming became prayers as they all thought they would be killed. Suddenly it stopped and they all shot forward abruptly. For a few minutes there was an eerie silence, everyone looked dead. But slowly they started moving. Tanith came round to find a load of baggage on top of her, there was no sign of Oded. As she tried to move, a sharp pain shot through her arm, it must be broken. She called Oded as she moved. the cases out of the way with her other hand. He was lying under some cases, out cold. He was alive but she didn't know how badly hurt he was. Peter, Brendan and Arnold were ok, a few cuts and bruises. Tracy was unconscious with a large gash on her head. John was ok apart from a broken leg. The ones who could, climbed out into the snow. Brendan said they had to help the others and get some sort of organization. He and Arnold went and carried Oded and Tracy out and laid them on makeshift blankets. Then they went and got John. After that they brought out the bodies, 5 so far, 3 men and 2 women stewards. They were killed when the plane stopped. "Brendan, where's Steve, he was sitting in front of us?" asked Tanith. After a few minutes they brought him out, he was in a bad way, he'd been trapped by a seat and had internal injuries by the look of it "Arnold, Peter, take a couple of the other men over there and try and clear that plane out. Anything not needed throw outside. Seat covers will come off and can be used as blankets. Go through the cases and see what can be used to keep us warm. We don't know how long we are goingto be here before being rescued. It's going to get colder tonight, I'd say about 20-30 below freezing. Oh, use the cases to try and block part of that hole. We'll take Oded, Tracy, Steve and John(John) back in when they can be made more comfortable. Alright" Brendan strapped Taniths arm as best he could, it wasn't broken, only dislocated and he got Arnold to put it back into place as he knew a bit about physio and had done it before. The pain was dreadful and it made her feel sick coupled with everything else but at least it should be better by the next day, enough so that she could use it. Peter had found food in the front part of the plane and loads of cigarettes. "We'll have to ration the food just in case. Look for something we can drink, anything will do. Someone must have bought some duty free" They made room in the plane and made those who were hurt comfortable. They had found spare blankets in the overhead compartments and several jackets, coats etc in the cases. It didn't matter who they belonged to, they needed them now to survive the cold.No-one knew if a mayday had been sent or even received and they wouldn’t be found, that easily in the mountains. A blizzard had started and they all got back in the plane and barricaded the gap up as best they could with cases, seats etc. Tracy had come round by now and was sitting next to Peter. The others hadn't and John was in a lot of pain with his leg. They'd do something about it tomorrow if they could. There were painkillers in the first aid box in the pilots cabin which they forced open to see if they were alive or not. They also found the radio completely useless. There was nothing they could do for the pilots so they shut the door. Tanith tried to keep Oded warm, he still hadn't come round and although he didn't seem to have any broken bones, no-one knew why he hadn't come round yet. It was hard to get any sleep, it must have been -30 outside and wasn't much warmer inside. They had all put on layers of clothing taken from the cases. It was a case of keeping together to keep warm. Brendan got out first in the morning with one of the stewards and they started a fire so that some food could be cooked, they had found some tea and coffee in the plane as well. Most of the food kept for serving on the plane was in the tail section which had gone. Snow had to be boiled for water and out there, there was plenty of that. Arnold and Peter came out and helped distribute the food and drink. It wasn't much but they didn't know how long it had to last. Tanith was sitting next to Oded, suddenly he moved and started to wake up. "Take it easy, are you alright?" "What happened, my head feels like someone's hit it with a sledge-hammer" "We crashed, you've been out for about 15 hours. We were starting to get worried." She told him what happened and who was left. He was shocked that some of his friends had gone, but looking around the plane, he was also surprised that more people, if not all of them hadn't been killed. Arnold brought him some food and coffee. "Give me a while and I'll be alright I think, but I've never been so cold. Is help coming?" "We don't know, let's hope it's soon. Steve is in a bad way, without help he won't last long. We think it's internal injuries, we can't treat them" said Arnold. "John needs his leg set properly., Tracy still has concussion and none of us are warm and there's not much food, in general we're in a fucking mess" "Ok Arnold we all feel the same" said Brendan "All we can do is help each other keep warm till help arrives. They know we're missing now, it shouldn't be long. Meanwhile moaning isn't going to help. Help Peter get the rest of the covers off, they'll keep us even warmer" Arnold sighed and stormed outside. Brendan knew he shouldn't have had a go but nobody could relax, they'd die if they did. "Brendan we've got to set Johns leg somehow" said Peter "If we don't he'll never walk properly again. I've looked at it, it needs someone pulling his foot so the bones snap into place. It's risky and the pains going to be unbearable but I think we should try" "We've got no painkillers that will help that, who's going to hold him down while someone does his leg?" "Well it's going to take 3-4 of us" They went into the plane and told John what they were going to do. He knew they had no choice. Oded said he and Arnold would hold him down if Brendan and Peter pulled the leg. It only took 2 or 3 minutes but the pain made John pass out so he didn't take much holding down and in a way it made things easier. While Peter held the leg in place. Brendan and Tanith put two pieces of metal each side and wound cloth round it to keep it in place. It wasn't good medical practice but it would suffice. Hopefully some help would be there later that day. Day 8 It was the evening of the 8th day and there had been no sin of any help whatsoever. A plane did pass by but never saw them, that was 3 days ago. Three more had died since the crash, Steve on the 4th day and yesterday two of the other passengers. They were all hungry and getting weak and so cold. There had been a blizzard every day for 3 days and the temperature was -20 in the daytime and even colder at night. The food was almost gone, there would be enough for one more day if they were careful Tanith cuddled Oded with Tracy and Peter next to him, Arnold and Brendan with John were opposite with 2 other people. It was so cold that they couldn't sleep very well. "Oded do you think we'11 get off this mountain?" "I would have said yes but after 8 days I just don't know. I've got a feeling we're all going to die up here. I'm not sure how long I can put up with this cold. I'm so cold it hurts" "I know I'm the same, let's lie closer together and try and get some sleep" Oded, Brendan, Arnold and Peter had decided to climb up the small hill behind them to see if there was anything on the other side. They had come down in a small valley but there could be a town or something over the hill. They were only about 10 miles from Salzburg when they went into the storm but they crashed and could be miles off course. "It could be a town or something in the distance, I'm not sure" said Arnold "But it's at least 60 kilometers from here, over snow , and ice and whatever else is there. We're too weak to make it let alone the others especially John" "I know, I vote we leave it a couple more days, if nothing happens I suggest that 2 of us try to get to that town. It's our only chance" They climbed back done to the plane. It was getting dark again, the days only lasted a few hours up there, but it had been sunny so it was a few degrees warmer than it had been. Back at the plane, Tanith was trying to keep John warm, but he was ill, he needed help and soon. His leg was not healing properly, anyone could see that and because of this he was colder than anyone else. "Hang in there John" said Tanith "Hopefully we won't be here much longer" She sat beside him, put another blanket round him and he lay in her arms, maybe he'd get a bit warmer that way. Gradually he drifted off to sleep. "How is he?" asked Peter coming in. "Not good" replied Tanith "How did you get on?" They explained what they intended to do. "Brendan, I've got a suggestion. Apart from us being cold and hungry, none of us are badly injured except John. My arms alright now even though it does ache and we can walk. Why don't we rig something up for John and all of us head for that town or village. We could make it if we're going to die, we will anyway up here, and if help isn't coming and it doesn't look like it is, at least we'll die trying" After a discussion and then a vote, it was decided that it was a good idea, all belt a dangerous one. There was 9 of them including John. He could be carried by taking it in turns. There was rope in the plane, anything that they needed could be carried in bags from the luggage. Blankets could be used to keep them warm with belts etc to keep them on. Anything useful would be used. It would take a day or so to get everything together. They decided to start out the day after tomorrow. On the morning of the llth day the blizzards had stopped and the sun had come out. The snow was quite deep and could be dangerous in places but they got ready to make a move. With odds and ends, they made a sign in the snow with an arrow pointing in the direction they had gone, just in case someone found the plane. Each person was to have a bag that could be carried easily. What food left would be put into one bag with some of the cigarettes. Another carried the first aid kit, matches and other essentials. All other things were divided between the other bags. Blankets were made roughly into some ponchos and seat covers made into boots etc. Extra clothing could be taken from the baggage and put on underneath. They had to keep as warm as possible. Extra blankets were carried for the night-time. These modern type planes had blankets in every overhead compartment so they had at least 40 blankets. They couldn't carry that many but they needed some because of the cold but they'd have to find some kind of shelter on the way down as well. There wasn't any sheer drops that they could see from where they were, just snow and ice but it was a long way and Arnold wasn't sure even now that this was a good idea after all. "We've got to be crazy to do this, wouldn't it be better for two people to go and the rest stay here in case of help. At least they would be safe and John is in no fit state to be carried all that way. I know we voted on it but we didn't ask John what he wanted to do. He has a right to an opinion even if he is hurt and out of it a lot of the time" "Ok" replied Brendan "Let's ask John what he wants to do. If he say he doesn't want to go, we'11 do it your way" They went into the plane and asked John what he wanted to do. "I'm willing to go but how can you carry me, I'm no light weight and it is over rocks and snow" "Kev, we'11 manage, we're not leaving you here" said Tanith "I'm sure Brendan and Arnold can strap your leg up so it won't move" While the others got ready, Brendan and Arnold wrapped the leg up and used belts to strap it and then to strap it onto the makeshift stretcher. They used a seat strapped to the door of the inside cabin, it worked quite well. Four of them carried John first. Tracy was better and walked with Tanith and Oded and Peter followed. Within an hour they were wishing they had stayed where they were. It was rough going and steeper in places. They decided to walk for an hour and then have a rest for an hour. They'd have to carry John but every jar hurt his leg. They had about 3 hours of daylight left and 2 hours of walking. If they could find a shelter of some sort they'd stay there till morning. The wind was blowing from their left so they'd have to find somewhere on the left that they could shelter in front of or even better a cave of some sort, if there were any such thing up there. There was an overhang of rock and underneath snow had piled up. After digging out most of it they huddled underneath to spend the night. With the other rocks nearby, the wind was kept off them a bit but it was still freezing. Tanith knew that if she got off with Oded, this was not the place, survival was paramount. She was grateful she could cuddle him but it was solely to keep warm, there could be no room for those feeling up here. He was freezing and because of his size as well was starving as were all of them. Normal people would have a job surviving on what they did but the likes of Oded, John and Arnold were used to large meals because of them being athletes. At least they had water, lads of it, snow! They could light a small fire enough to melt snow and drink it. Not the most refreshing drink but it was lifesaving. Tanith and Tracy were dying for a cup of tea. "Tracy when we get back, the first thing I'm going to order is the biggest pot of tea I can" "Trust you to think of that" replied Tracy. They all laughed at Tanith's comment and she blushed although they could not see much in the dark. Normal bodily functions were the worse thing, it was so cold and you had to go and you had to be so quick, frost-bite in those places could prove dangerous. They had put John in the middle with all the bags round him to keep him warm, he could be the coldest and they didn't know what his leg was like now. He said he couldn't feel it until it got jarred so he was worrying them all. At least they could move around if they wanted to. "Are you alright Oded?" asked Tanith. "I've never been so cold, if we get out of this I'll never moan about the cold again. What about you?" She told him she was cold too, she couldn't feel her toes and she was scared. He pulled her closer and pulled the blanket they had over their heads to keep the warmth in. All of them had done that. Before they knew it, it was morning and after having a drink and a piece of chocolate, because that was basically all they had left, it was time to set out again. This time Oded, Mike, Alan and Peter carried John. The rest carried the bags. At about 1pm, they rested and Oded and Arnold walked up ahead to see what was over the next hill, leaving the rest there. "We don't seem any nearer" said Arnold "A couple of days of this and he will be dead, we're getting too weak to carry on" "I know but we have to try" replied Oded. "Look let's carry on walking today or till we come to a good sheltered spot. Leave the others and you and me go on alone. We stand a better chance than carrying John, he's too heavy and the girls can't do it. What do you think?" asked Arnold. Oded was standing on the edge of the rocks looking towards where the village was. You could see a church spire of sorts but he estimated it must be about 50 miles away. He turned to Arnold. "Ok let's do it but let's not say anything to the others till we find somewhere suitable for them to camp in. We might be gone a long time, we may not even make it" "We'll make it but we have to do it alone" By the time night had fallen again, they were camped in a small cave of sorts, almost protected on 3 sides. It was warmer than outside in the open. If there was a blizzard, it might not be but for now it was the warmest they'd been for days. Oded and Arnold carried on as normal that night but in the morning, they were up before anyone else, and got together the stuff that they wanted to take. Tanith woke and found them gone, she got up and quietly went outside. She surprised Oded by asking him what he was doing. He looked at Arnold, who carried on. He explained what they intended to do. "Oded, you can't not on your own, we've got to stay together. If anything happens to you, I'll......" "Nothing will happen, me and Arnold will make it and we'll bring help back" "Arnold, tell him please, it's too dangerous" "Look we'11 be alright, I'll look after him" said Arnold. "And who'll look after you" she said with tears in her eyes. Oded took hold of her and kissed her and told her not to say anything to the others till they were gone. If they knew, they might stop them. Reluctantly she agreed but didn't want to let Oded go. They set off and Tanith stood watching them till they went over the hill. She went back inside as it was starting to snow. Brendan was awake and she told him what had happened. He was furious. "They'll kill themselves on their own. If we stuck together we could make it but not alone" "Brendan, they said they would make more miles alone. John was the main reason they went, he is too ill and too heavy. I can understand that but I wish Oded hadn't gone" Tanith went to see how John was and Brendan reluctantly got a load of snow to melt and make a drink. There had been tea in the galley of the plane but they only used it in the morning and evening. During the day it was plain melted snow. By 10am, everyone knew what Arnold and Oded had done. John was guilty that he had caused them to be left there. "John, don't be silly, they did it for us, we couldn't have gone on carrying you and before you say, we are not leaving you behind ok. We'll just have to sit tight and hope and pray that they get through" said Tanith. John was really upset and buried his head into the blanket. Tanith took her blanket and put it over him and put her arm round him. "Shh, it's alright, we'11 get out of her, try and drink this tea. It's not very nice but it will warm you up a bit" She turned to look out into the snow, with tears in her eyes, and wondered if they would make it or if that was to be their graves. It had been nearly 3 weeks since they crashed and a week since Oded and Arnold had gone. Still no sign of help. They were very weak now, John was drifting in and out of consciousness, Tracy and Peter huddled together, one of the other men, Alan had died. Brendan was weak but tried to keep going, Tanith could hardly stand, her feet hurt and if she did everything started spinning, so basically they all stayed there and waited to die. Back on the mountain, Oded and Arnold made good progress the first 3 days, they reckoned they had covered about 25 miles. At least the village seemed closer now. Oded had fallen once and it looked like he had cracked a bone in his wrist. So he couldn't carry much on that arm. Arnold was weak but only had a few bruises from knocking his legs on rocks. As they walked on the fourth day, Oded was behind Arnold. Suddenly everything started spinning. He had just enough time to call Arnold. He turned to see Oded face down in the snow. "Oh my God Oded" he yelled as he ran to his side and turned him over. He was out cold. Arnold looked around, about 100yds away was a cluster of rocks that were sheltered by the mountain. He pulled Oded over to them and covered him with the blankets they had. he then lit a fire and melted some snow. When it was warm, he lifted Odeds head and tried to get him to drink it. He gradually came round "I can’t go any further" said Oded "Let me die here" "You're not going to die anywhere, you've got to keep going. Another couple of days and we'11 be home free. Come on, drink this, we'11 rest till tomorrow, then we'll go on" He drank the warm water and closed his eyes. He had had it, he was totally exhausted and felt too weak to go on. If he could only go to sleep and never wake up. If anyone had told him, he would feel like this, wanting to die, he would have called them a liar. Arnold was worried, he'd never seen Oded like this and without him, he didn't want to go on either. He took all the blankets etc what they had, covered himself and Oded up and hopefully they would survive the night. The next morning. Oded apologized for talking like he did the previous night, he still felt so weak he didn't want to go on but knew, somehow, he had to, if not for his own sake, for everyone else’s. They packed everything up and moved on, slowly, weakly, but on over the snow. They had been walking for a couple of hours, when Arnold grabbed Odeds arm and they stopped listening to a half heard sound in the distance. "Am I hearing things or does that sound like a plane?" They looked hard at the sky round them, suddenly over the next ridge came the welcome sight of a helicopter. They waved their arms and shouted with their last bit of strength. "Helicopter one to base, we have located two survivors. We're going to land and pick them up. But it does look like only two" The helicopter landed on a clear piece of snow to their right and two men got out and ran towards them. "Thank God, we didn't think you'd ever find us" said Arnold. "Come on, we'll get you in the helicopter, are you the only ones?" "No, there are some more back that way, I'd say about 30 miles back. We're not sure how far we've come. There's about 7, that's all" They got in the helicopter and it flew in the direction Oded and Arnold had come. They were given thermal sheets and hot soup as soon as they board the helicopter. The man sat beside an open door and scanned the snow, searching for the rest of them. After about 20 miles they saw a cross in the snow made out of bags or something. "We've found them, 20 miles south of the Tauern Ridge. I'll send some flares down and then you can pick them up. Over and out" Brendan was out of the shelter when he saw the helicopter, he ran inside and shook Tanith and Peter. "helps here, we're saved, Arnold and Oded must have made it. Come on" He went back outside as they were dropping some flares. A voice shouted at them. "Hold on, use the flares and another helicopter will come and pick you up, it's on its way, shouldn't be long" Brendan waved and went to tell the others. Peter wasn't too bad nor Tracy just weak and cold. Tanith wasn't well at all, she had frostbite in her feet and they were bad. Mike was ok and John had been out of it for over a day. They had given him sips of water but he hadn't come round, how long he had left Brendan didn't know. Much longer her and he wouldn't be. By the time they had been picked up, Arnold and Oded were already in hospital undergoing treatment. It would take a long time for them to ever feel warm again but otherwise they weren't in bad shape considering. Being actors had helped, a few days in hospital and they would be fine. Wi thin an hour everyone was back. John was undergoing emergency surgery on his leg, they had found a small fracture on Tracy’s head which wasn't too bad. Tanith was in surgery as they didn't think they could save one of her feet. One was alright but the other was just dead flesh caused by the frostbite. It would mean she'd be in a wheelchair until an artificial one could be fitted. That wouldn't be for a few months, meanwhile she'd have to stay in hospital for a few weeks. The rest were alright except for the cold and lack of food. They all gave statements as to what happened and they would send up people to find the bodies and the black box of the aircraft. Because of the blizzards, they hadn't been able to find them. They'd found the tail section miles further up the mountain and they assumed the rest of the plane was there too. After a search found nothing they widened the search, but bad weather had grounded them for a few days. When they went back out, the landscape had changed. Finding Arnold and Oded, had been, for want of a better word, sheer luck, nothing else. Oded asked the nurse if everyone was alright, she told him yes, except for Tanith who was in surgery and John who was also in surgery. "But why Tanith, her arm was better" said Oded. He knew John would need it but not Tanith. "It's not her arm, it's her foot, it has severe frostbite and the surgeons have had to amputate. They had no choice, I'm sorry" It was the next day before they would allow Oded out of bed, some of the others had gone back to the hotel in Frankfurt. Only Tanith, John, Oded and Arnold remained. They were having a job to raise Arnolds temperature but he should be ok by the evening. Oded found that Tanith was in intensive care with John. His leg was a mess and they had done their best to reset it and all they could hope is that he would be able to use it, whether he'd ever act again depended on him and how much punishment the leg would take after about 3 months. That was how long it would be before he'd be allowed to even walk on it without help. They did say it could have been worse if they hadn't tried to set it when they did. Oded went in to see him but the nurse on duty said it would be several hours, if not the next day before he woke up. They were keeping him sedated because of the pain he would be in. He asked if he could see Tanith. He was told yes but not to tire her too much. She was awake but dosed up with painkillers and she didn't know yet that her foot had gone. They needed someone close to break the news. The doctor asked Oded if he would tell her, there was no-one else and it would be better coming from someone she knew. "You are the one she's been asking for. If you don't want to, that's fine we'll do it, but it might have been easier coming from a friend" "Thanks a lot, look I'll try but don't blame me if I can't do it" "That's ok, I'll be here if you need me, just ring the bell" Oded went in. Tanith was wired to a monitor and had a drip in her arm. There was a frame thing over her leg to stop anything touching her. She looked ill. He felt a bit guilty that he and no-one else had noticed she was getting frostbite in her feet. He remembered he complaining that her feet were hurting but it didn't occur to them why. He assumed she had put extra socks on and the seat-cover boots they made. It seems that when her feet went numb with the frostbite, she thought they were ok and didn't pout anything else on them. He sat down beside her. He was still cold and one of the nurses draped a blanket round his shoulders even though he had a dressing gown one. "Tanith, Tanith , it's Oded, how are you feeling?" "Oded You're alright, thank God, what about the others?" He told her what happened and who was left at the hospital. "Me and Arnold are allowed out tomorrow. He's going back to the hotel in Frankfurt but I'm staying here, I can't really leave you and John alone" "You don't have to, I'll be alright and so will John. I'll be out in a couple of days and I'll come up to Frankfurt" "Tanith you'll be in hospital quite a time so will John" "But there's nothing wrong with me. I've only got to get warm and get my strength back. I still feel weak and I still can't feel my feet but that won’t last" "Tanith, look, you've had an operation, that's why you can’t feel your feet. You got frostbite in them, they've........." "Oded, what is it, please tell me" "Oh shit, why me. You've had your left foot amputated. They couldn't save it. I'm really sorry" "Oh well, I never did want to be a ballet dancer. Thanks for letting me know. I suppose if I'm honest, I already knew but part of my mind would n' t except it. I looked under the blanket. Don't worry" "Do you want me to get any one or anything" She said she wanted a drink, so Oded went and asked the nurse who said she'd bring a cup of tea in for both of them. Tanith was terrified but couldn't let Oded see that. The thought of being in a wheelchair didn't scare her but the pain etc did. She cried into the pillow. Somehow, she'd manage, everyone else did in the same situation. She hoped something would happen with Oded and her. Time would tell. John would get better eventually, the film world would survive this terrible tragedy and new actors would come into it. No-one would ever forget what happened that day, she wouldn't and neither would Oded, Arnold, John and the others. But life goes on. Oded came in the room and the nurse brought the tea in. They looked at each other. Yes, unfortunately life goes on, at least she was lucky, Oded was alright. Maybe, one day .........!!! |
