EPILOGUE
Good morning.
Frank Donovan stopped in his tracks when he found no answer to his greeting. He looked at his team and frowned. They were so engrossed in watching T.V. that if they were in L.A. and the BIG ONE took place, they barely would notice it.
It was Cody who finally noticed his presence and nodded his head.
Hi, boss! he said. Have you seen the CNN news? They have trapped this fanatical Arab and he will be tried here.
Something shook inside of him when he listened to Codys words.
What fanatical Arab? he asked, puting his briefcase on the table.
It was then that Monica, Alex and Jake noticed him and nodded their heads without saying a word.
That guy, from Al Qaeda, provided Cody. He was caught in Spain a few months ago. It seems that he helped this terrorist group... whats their name?
ETA, Frank said taking the remote control and turning up the volume. When is he going to arrive?
He arrived yesterday, heavily guarded, Monica explained frowning at him. Do you know him, Frank?
Franks dark eyes sparkled before looking at her.
How do they know that he belongs to Al Qaeda? He ignored her question and Monica shrugged.
They have a witness, Alex said. A woman.
Frank closed his eyes for a second. When he opened them again, his team was looking at him as if they had seen a ghost.
Whats going on here, Frank? Jake asked.
Frank chuckled and took his briefcase.
Justice, Jake, he said. Pure and simple justice.
Frank went to his office up the stairs and closed the door behind him, smiling softly. She was back. Laura was back and he was going to find her.
THE END (FOR NOW)
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
While I was working on chapter 6 and the epilogue of this story, ETA killed again. They killed a young Civil Guard and four more people were seriously wounded.
Its always the same and we are tired. Very tired.
Our parliament has finally changed the law and we are close to making BATASUNA, ETAs political arm, definitely illegal.
It is hard for Basque people to live in that wonderful land. Most of them are normal people, but BATASUNA and ETA keep them all under pressure and they arent even able to express themselves.
This modest story is dedicated for every people and every country that have suffered or are still suffering terrorism.
I wanted to try a more romantic and tender Frank so I used him in a different way.
Thank you very much, to all of you.
