Undercover
By NurShazadi
Undercover, there he goes,
His mind and heart nobody knows.
A man of mystery, trusting no one,
Always weighing his options and carrying a gun.

What secrets does your past conceal?
What is there in your gaze you try not to reveal?
Was your heart broken beyond repair?
Was the loss of a friend too hard to bear?

I know not what can stir your heart, that seems so cold,
Or how you practice your art so brave and bold.

Undercover, so there he goes,
But the man that captivates us nobody knows.

I search your face to find a clue,
Of what is false and what is true.
Are you so hard and cold as ice?
Wearing the mask of intensity as your disguise.
Can there be a fire that burns you so deep inside,
Have you rejected love and pushed it aside?

Only time will unfold the mystery of this tale,
Shall I share in jour joy, or shall I cry and wail.

Undercover, there he goes,
Living between danger and lies,
Entrapped in the game of agents and spies.
