                                                                        Chapter 18

The ride home was extra quiet.  Nancy kept glancing over at Raegan who was staring blindly out the window.  After about twenty minutes of Raegan’s silence, Nancy asked, “Did I piss you off at lunch?”

Raegan blinked, being brought out of her own thoughts.  “No,” she answered, looking over at Nancy.

“Then why the silence?”  Nancy persisted.

“Oded wants me to stay with him this weekend,” she stated and turned to look back out the window.

Nancy shook her head, laughing sadly. “And this depresses you?  God, Rae, I just don’t get you.”

Raegan threw Nancy an annoyed look. “I’m not down about that.”  She glanced back out the window.

“Well, you shouldn’t be.”  Nancy gave Raegan a quick glance. “So?”

Raegan sighed. “I misunderstood Oded when he asked me to stay the weekend with him and I got mad.  He, in not so many words, basically accused me of thinking he was like Billy.”

“Oh Rae, you didn’t.  Oded is nothing like Billy,” Nancy said quickly.

“I know that,” Raegan snapped.  She took a deep breath and let it out.  “Sorry.  I know he is not like Billy.  I didn’t realize that my reaction was implying that, but Oded obviously did and I think he is right.  I have gotten used to Billy and his demands rubbing me the wrong way and so now anytime a guy says something the wrong way, I snap.”

“Does Oded realize this?”  Nancy asked.

“I think so.”

“Did you guys part on good terms?”  Nancy asked curiously.

“Yes.  He told me to think about his request and he’ll call me tonight,” Raegan answered.

“You gonna go?”

“Most likely.  He wants to pick me up tomorrow after work and he’ll drop me back off Monday morning,” Raegan answered, staring out the window again.

“I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record here, but damn you’re a lucky bitch.”  Nancy laughed.

Raegan grinned as she looked over at Nancy.  “Hey, you got a kiss from him.”

Nancy snorted. “On the cheek!  Nothing like that one you described to me the other day.”

Raegan laughed. “He’d better not kiss you like that.”

Nancy laughed too.  “I see the green eyed monster rearing its ugly head once again.  Damn girl, you couldn’t have been more obvious at lunch today when we were talking about Ded and his bare ass.”

Raegan groaned.  “You think he noticed?”

“Noticed?”  Nancy chortled.  “I think he was reveling in it.”

“Oh he was not!”  Raegan denied.

“Rae, I don’t know who was worse.  You being jealous or him happy that you were jealous.”  Nancy laughed.  “It was quite entertaining to watch you two.”

“Well good, then maybe I’ll start charging you to view the show.”  Raegan smiled.

Later that evening when the phone rang, both Nancy and Raegan were busy in the kitchen cleaning up after cooking dinner for the two of them and Rick, so he answered the phone.

“Hello?”

Silence.

“Hello?”  Rick asked again.

“Is Raegan there?” a not very happy accented voice asked.

Rick chuckled. “Sure hold on.  Rae?  Babydoll, it’s for you.”

“Who is it?”  Raegan asked as she crossed the room.

“Oded,” he mouthed silently.

Raegan’s eyes grew big.  “Oh you creep, give me that!”  Rick laughed, handing her the phone.

“Ded?”  Raegan spoke into the phone.

There was a moment of silence, then, “That had better have been Nancy’s boyfriend.”

Oh my god, he’s pissed, Raegan thought to herself.  She could kill Rick for that.  “Yes, Oded, that was Rick, Nancy’s boyfriend,” Raegan answered.  “The creep,” she muttered softly.  “He was just goofing around.”

She heard a deep sigh.  “Sorry.  He just caught me off guard, answering your phone.”

“Oh god, that’s nothing, you should have heard my dad the first time Rick answered our phone in the middle of the night.”  Raegan laughed.  She heard Oded’s deep chuckle and she relaxed.

“I bet he was none to happy about having a man answering your phone in the middle of the night,” Oded commented.

“No, he wasn’t.  I heard about that for weeks afterward,” Raegan replied with a smile.

“So what are you up to this evening?”  Oded asked, more relaxed.

“Nancy and I fixed dinner for Rick and we were just cleaning up when you called,” she answered.

“I see.  And when do I get the honor of being fixed dinner?”  Oded asked teasingly.

“Well,” Raegan began.  “If you behave yourself this weekend, maybe I will then.”

Oded groaned.  “Well if that is the case, then I guess I’ll have to do without, because if you’re coming over here for the weekend, I have no plans of behaving myself.”

Raegan laughed. “I didn’t think so.”

“So do I take this as your answer?” he asked softly.

“Yes.”  Raegan blushed, glad that he couldn’t see her.

“Good.  Bring a few nice casual clothes along with some comfy things you can lounge around in.  I have a few things planned for us, but nothing fancy,” he informed her.

“Okay.  Are we having lunch tomorrow?”  Raegan asked.

“Lunch?  Oh shit, I forgot about lunch in my plans for snagging you for the weekend,” Oded said.  “I’ve got a lot of running around to do tomorrow, so since I’m getting you for dinner, I think I’ll forgo the lunch, is that alright?”

“Sure, that’s fine,” Raegan answered.  “I’ll miss you though,” she whispered huskily into the phone.

Oded felt like a bolt of lightening had slammed into his body.  His body jerked, then suddenly he felt weak.  “Christ, Rae,” he breathed.  “You did that on purpose.”

She laughed softly.  “Why Oded, I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“Oh, you will pay for this!” he growled playfully.

“You promise?” she asked softly, purposely lowering her voice sexily.

“God damn it, Raegan, knock that shit off, before I drive down there and jump you right now!”  Oded snapped, but there was no malice in his voice.  Only desire mixed with amusement.

“Alright, I’m sorry.  I’ll behave now.”  Raegan chuckled.

“What time do I need to be waiting for you?”  Oded asked, redirecting the conversation.

“I get off at 5 o’clock.  Just pull up in front of the building and I’ll be waiting there for you, okay?”  Raegan asked.

“Alright,” Oded answered.

“Listen, I’m getting dirty looks from Nancy, so I’d better get back in there to help her finish cleaning up.”

“Okay, sweetness.  I’ll see you tomorrow afternoon,” Oded said.

“Good night, Oded,” Raegan replied and hung up.

                                                                 Chapter 19

One of the last errands Oded had to run before heading over to pick up Raegan was stopping by to see Trish at her office.  He really didn’t want to, but he had some papers that he needed to drop off to her, so after pushing it off until the very last minute, he swung by her office.

“Hi Mr. Fehr,” Debbie, Trish’s assistant greeted him as he walked in the door.

“Now, Deb, I’ve told you before to call me Oded.”  He smiled at her.  Debbie was a really nice young lady and Oded liked her a lot.  She was always friendly and had a ready smile.  Oded thought she deserved better than working for Trish.

“You know Ms. Barnett doesn’t like me to call the clients by their first names,” Debbie frowned unhappily.

“Ms. Barnett needs to get a grip on life.”  Oded smiled at her.  “Is the battle ax in?”

Debbie snorted her laughter and nodded.  Oded grinned and continued on past Debbie’s desk to Trish’s closed door.

“Oded, how nice to see you!” Trish exclaimed happily as she saw Oded enter her office.  She rose up and circled her desk, lifting her face expectantly for Oded’s kiss.  Oded frowned and sighed.  He dropped a feather light kiss on her cheek, then moved away quickly to sit down in one of the vacant chairs.

“I can’t stay long, I just wanted to drop off these papers you wanted me to sign,” Oded said, tossing the large manila envelope on her desk.

Trish sat back down behind her desk and picked up the envelope.  “Thank you,” she said with a smile and opened the envelope to examine the contents.  Satisfied that everything was in order, she turned her attention back to Oded.  “I thought maybe we could have dinner tonight,” she said suddenly.  She noticed Oded tense and looked at him curiously.  “Just a friendly dinner, Oded.  I’ve hardly seen you, other than business, lately.”

“I’ve got plans, Trish,” Oded answered vaguely.

“Oh really?”  Trish leaned forward propping her elbows on her desk.  “Who is she, Ded?”

Oded stiffened.  “I never said it was a ‘she’,” he answered a bit nervously, remembering the last time he had showed interest in a woman.  Even though he had no proof, he was positive that Trish had chased Amanda off somehow.  Something she had said about Trish had made no sense at the time, but was crystal clear now.  As it was Trish probably had done him a favor, but he preferred to handle his relationships on his own.

Trish laughed and sat back in her chair.  “You didn’t have to, Oded.  A woman can sense another woman from miles away.  You have been distracted and rather secretive lately. You have also been disappearing on me frequently with lame excuses and my guess is it is a woman.  Am I wrong?”

Oded stared at Trish for a moment trying to decide how much to reveal to her.  “No, you are not wrong,” he finally answered, wondering if he’d regret this.

“So who is she?”  Trish asked again with an interested smile.  Underneath she was seething with jealousy.  She would get as much out of him as she could about this mysterious woman, then she would deal with the woman, just as she’d dealt with the last one.

“Her name is Raegan Lacy.  I met her a few weeks ago and we hit it off.”  Oded told her as much of the truth as he could without lying.  He would not tell her how he’d met Raegan, but the rest was the truth.  He had met Raegan a few weeks ago and they had hit it off, even if she hadn’t known who he was at first.

“Where did you meet her?”  Trish asked.

“None of your business, Trish.”  Oded stood up to leave.  “I need to go.  I’m picking her up in a few minutes and I don’t want to be late.”

“No need to be rude, Oded.  I’m only curious.  You don’t date often, so when you do I’m curious to know who, not to mention your fans will be curious also,” Trish stated, a bit miffed.

Oded turned around to face her.  “I don’t want Raegan’s name popping up in the entertainment magazines, is that clear?  If you are asked a direct question as to if I’m seeing anyone, you give them an honest answer and tell them yes, otherwise keep your mouth shut on the subject.”

Trish glared at him. “I don’t spread gossip.”

“No, but you do like to stir up trouble,” Oded answered as he turned and headed for the door. He needed to get out of there before he said something to her that he would regret.  He couldn’t afford to have her pissed off at him, so he would bite his tongue for now.  She could break his career if she chose to.  “Stay out of this, Trish,” Oded asked as he reached the door.  He turned back and gave her one last look. “Please.”  And then he was gone.

Trish smiled deviously at the closed door that Oded had just gone through.  “Yes, I do like to stir up trouble!”  Trish spoke to the empty room.  “ And by the time I’m done with Raegan Lacy, she’ll wish she never met me or Oded Fehr.”

Raegan didn’t think the next day could have drug by any slower than it did.  Then about 3 o’clock all hell broke loose and Lisa had an emergency filing that had to be done that day.  Raegan was afraid that she was going to have to call Oded and tell him she was working late, but Lisa jumped in and helped her get the proper amount of copies made of the pleading and got them blue backed and ready to go to the courthouse.

At 4:50 p.m. Lisa grabbed the filing and said, “Thanks for your help, Rae.  I’ll take it over to the courthouse. You go meet your boyfriend.”  Lisa winked at her with a smile.  “Have a great weekend.”

“Thanks, Lise,” Raegan answered, shut her computer down, and hurriedly cleaned up her desk.  She was locking up the overhead and her drawers when Nancy showed up.

“You better hurry, Rae, my dear,” Nancy stated in a singsong voice.

“You’re not helping, Nance, my dear,” Raegan answered in the same singsong voice.

Nancy laughed as she leaned over to pick up one of Raegan’s overnight bags.  Raegan grabbed the other and her purse.  “I’ll walk you out,” Nancy replied.

“You just want another kiss on the cheek, you shameless hussy.”  Raegan laughed.

Nancy pretended shock.  “I would never!”  They both laughed and left the office.

Oded was already waiting for them in front of the building when they exited.  He came forward to take the bags from both of them, giving Nancy a peck on the cheek and Raegan a more lingering kiss on the lips.  Raegan laughed at the indignant look on Nancy’s face as Oded put the baggage in the trunk of his Beemer.  Oded flashed them a curious look as he moved around to open the passenger door for Raegan.

“Is this a private moment, or do we share the joke?”  Oded asked as he opened the car door.

“Nancy came down here to get that kiss on the cheek, but now she’s jealous that I got the better end of the deal.”  Raegan laughed.

“Bite me!”  Nancy lifted her nose into the air.

Oded grinned as Raegan slid into the passenger seat and he closed the door.  He closed the short distance between himself and Nancy, his back blocking Raegan’s view.  Bringing his finger up to his lips in a “sh-sh-sh” gesture, he then leaned forward and gave Nancy a quick kiss on the mouth.  Grinning, he winked at her and walked off to get in the driver side.  For the second time in two days, Nancy was left completely speechless.  She watched in stunned silence as they drove off.

Nancy suddenly grinned as her fingers came up to touch her lips.  She turned to go back into the building and nearly ran into Billy.  “Nancy,” Billy said with a sniff.

“Billy,” Nancy acknowledged and tried to go around him.

Billy grabbed her arm to stop her.  “Where did Raegan just take off to with Oded Fehr?”

Nancy looked down at the grip he had on her arm, then brought her hard gaze up to meet Billy’s.  “Let go of my arm.”

Billy released her and repeated his question. “Tell me where she went!”

“Go to hell, Billy.  Raegan is none of your concern anymore,” Nancy snapped angrily.  “Leave her alone.”

Billy’s face turned to stone as he raised a finger up and shook it in Nancy’s face.  “Watch your mouth with me, Ms. Walker or I’ll have you fired.”  He turned and walked away.

Nancy laughed, knowing it would take an act of congress to get her fired from the government. “I’d like to see you try, Billy.”

Billy froze for a moment, but then he kept on walking.  It wasn’t Nancy that he wanted revenge against.  He would have Raegan back and he would get her back in any way he could.  Her dating the very actor that had broke them up in the first place was a big blow to his ego.  He would find out everything he could about this Oded Fehr and then he would make his move.

“So what would you like to do first?”  Oded asked, reaching over and taking her hand in his.  “Go eat first, or go to my place, relax for a bit, and then go eat?”

Raegan flashed him a grin. “Are you sure if we go to your place first that we will actually leave it later to go eat?”

Oded smiled. “I’m not making any promises,” he answered, bringing her hand up to his lips.

“Well, I’m not real hungry yet.  So I guess I’ll just have to take my chances that I’ll get dinner later,” Raegan said.

Oded laughed. “Well, we might not make it back out of my condo, but I can promise you that you will not starve.”

Twenty-five minutes later, Oded maneuvered his Beemer into a luxurious condo complex.  It was gated and a security guard stood in a booth next to the gate that allowed entrance into the little community.

“Good evening, Mr. Fehr,” the guard greeted as Oded pulled up next to the booth and waited for the gate to open.

“Good evening, Joe,” Oded greeted back.

“Good evening, Miss,” Joe greeted Raegan with a friendly smile.

“Hello,” Raegan answered, returning his friendly smile.

“By the way Joe, this is Raegan Lacy.  I want her added to my admittance list,” Oded said.  “Tell Dan I’ll be by in the morning to officially have her added to the list.”

“Will do, Mr. Fehr.  Have a good evening now,” Joe answered. Oded pulled the Beemer through the open gate and followed the road through several twists and turns before he reached up to hit the automatic garage door opener that was hooked to his sun visor.

“So what does it mean to be added to your admittance list?”  Raegan asked as she watched a garage door began to open a few condos away.

Oded slowed down to a crawl, waiting for it to rise completely before pulling the Beemer inside.  “It means that security won’t have to call me first for my permission for you to enter the premises.  You will be allowed in anytime.”  He shut off the engine, opened the driver’s door and got out.  Walking around the back, he came up along side the passenger door and opened it.  Holding his hand out, Raegan placed her hand in his and swung her legs out and stood.

Suddenly Oded dropped her hand and moved forward, crowding her against the side of the car.  “I haven’t been able to give you a descent kiss since Monday,” he said gruffly as his hands came up to frame her face. He lowered his head to catch her lips with his.  Raegan’s breath caught in her throat as her hands came up to wrap around his arms, near his wrists.  She could feel the soft hairs on his arms beneath her fingers as his lips moved on hers.  “God, you taste good,” he whispered against her lips as he tilted his head and thrust his tongue between them.

Raegan clutched his arms tighter, hanging on for dear life.  Her body thrummed to life as his tongue swept through her mouth like a cyclone, leaving nowhere untouched.  She kissed him back with everything that was in her.  She met his thrusts with her own, boldly stroking his tongue.  Oded groaned as his hands moved down the sides of her neck, traced lightly over her collarbone, across her shoulders and down her arms.  Raegan released the hold she had on his arms and circled her arms up around his neck, rising up on her tip-toes, pressing her body fully against his as his arms circled around her back.  As his arms tightened around her, pulling her closer, he stepped forward, pushing her back against the car until her rear end bumped against the car frame.  The kiss grew more intense as Oded ground his hips against hers, letting her know how much he wanted her.  Raegan moaned as Oded tore his mouth away from hers and dragged his lips across her jaw to her ear.  His breathing ragged, he whispered harshly, “My god, Rae, I need to be inside you.”

Raegan whimpered softly. “Yes, please,” was all she could get out before Oded released her abruptly and grabbed her hand.  He turned and led the way quickly to a door that led into his condo.  As he passed through the doorframe, his free hand hit a button and the garage door began to close behind them.  “I’ll get your stuff out of the trunk later,” he said as he shut the door behind them and led her through the small laundry room into the dining area.  He continued on to a staircase that went up to the second floor and hurriedly led her up them.

Raegan began to laugh.  “Are we in a race, Oded?”

He didn’t stop until he’d led her through an open door at the end of the hallway.  Raegan barely had time to glance around the obviously masculine bedroom before Oded had his arms around her again, his mouth claiming hers in a passionate kiss.  Raegan melted against him with a sigh.  Finally, with nothing holding them back, Oded let his hands begin to roam over her body.  They glided everywhere, seeking merely to learn her curves.  His thumbs brushed against the swells of her breasts, but his hands kept moving down her sides over her hips to circle around her nicely rounded derrière.  He groaned against her mouth as his hands squeezed the soft flesh, and he pulled her against his heavy arousal.

“I need to feel you, Rae, to taste you.”  His hands moved back around to the front of her and began to unbutton her blouse.  He tugged it from the waistband of her slacks as he continued his journey upward.  He pushed it off her shoulders, pulling her arms down from around his neck so the blouse could drop unheeded to the floor.  His hands ran up the softness of her skin on her arms to her shoulders.  His large hands rounded her shoulders, hooking the straps of her bra as he went and pushing them off.  His hands continued their journey down over her shoulder blades to locate the hook to her bra and made quick work of it, letting it drop to the floor.  Oded stopped and took a step back, his dark gaze raking over her full breasts appreciatively.  “My god, you are beautiful,” he whispered as he moved forward again and bent over to take a hard nipple into his mouth.  His arm circled her waist to lend her support as he bent her back to get better access to her breasts.  His other hand slid up across her ribs to cup the full weight of the breast he was attending to in his warm palm.  Pushing up he squeezed gently, drawing her deep into his mouth.  The stiff hairs of his mustache and goatee brushed against the sensitive skin of her breast causing Raegan to moan softly. Her hands came up to tangle in his dark curls, pulling him closer.

Oded bent her further back over his arm, sucking hard.  He couldn’t get enough of her.  She tasted so sweet and her scent of honeysuckle mixed with her own unique scent about drove him over the edge.  He released her breast and twisted slightly to lower her to the bed.  Until then Raegan had been frozen by the sensations he was causing her to feel, but suddenly her hands came alive and she began to tug at his shirt, yanking it up over his head as he tried to work the button and zipper of her slacks.  He tugged them down over her waist, taking her panties and her sandals off as he went.  Her pants and underwear dropped to the floor and he straightened up to undo his own pants.  Seconds later, he tugged them down and Raegan laughed softly.

“I knew you wore boxers,” she said with a smile.

Oded returned her smile with a grin, his dimples deepening.  “You don’t know how badly I wanted to tell you that.”

Raegan rose up slightly and moved back on the bed until she was lying across the middle.  Oded kicked his loafers off with his pants, his boxers following.  He stood before Raegan in all his glory, waiting, as she gazed at him longingly.  “Oh my!” she whispered as she saw his aroused flesh thrusting out proudly from a patch of dark tight curls.  Oded moved forward onto the bed, coming to hover over her on his hands and knees.

“You are incredible.”  He gazed down at her, his eyes roaming over her.  He sat back on his knees and placed his hands over both breasts.  He teased the nipples with his finger and thumb, twisting and pinching until Raegan began to squirm.  He smiled and then continued to let his hands roam down her ribcage, learning every line, every curve of her body.  He traced them over her stomach and felt her quiver at his touch as his thumbs brushed across the edge of her pubic hair.  He then guided his hands over her hips and down her legs, scooting down as he went.  He glided his hands down until he reached her toes, before finally moving back up.  He settled his body between her spread thighs and glided his hands back up, his thumbs brushing along the inside until they reached the apex of her legs.  Raegan dragged in a shuddering breath as she felt his thumbs brush against her femininity.  She moaned, thrusting up with her hips.  Oded smiled down at her, his eyes twinkling with a mixture of amusement and desire.

“Oded, please,” she begged softly.  She knew she couldn’t take much more of his wonderful torture.  Her body was wound up so tight that the slightest gust of wind would send over the edge, or in this case, his finger.  Oded shook his head as he eased a finger into her.  Raegan gasped, closing her eyes, as she felt her body clench around it.

“I still want to taste you all over,” he whispered huskily.

Raegan’s eyes snapped opened.  There was no way on God’s green earth that she would last through that kind of torture.  She propelled herself up, surprising him.  “Later, I want you inside me, now!”  Her hands framed his face, her fingers lacing through his long hair as she kissed him hard.  Oded’s groan came from deep within him.

“Later,” he conceded against her mouth as he propelled them both back against the pillows.  He settled his weight on top of her, bringing his arms up alongside of her to take most of his weight.  Raegan’s hands moved over his shoulders and down his back as she spread her thighs wide for his entry.  She felt his velvety tip probe her wetness, pushing, locating the center of her, then thrusting deep until he was buried to the hilt.  “My god, you’re so tight,” Oded groaned as he tore his mouth away from hers.  His breathing caught harshly, then he let it out in a rush.  It was a moment before he had the control to move.  Then his hips began to rise and fall as he moved within her.  Raegan wrapped her legs around him, taking all of him inside her.  Her breathing quickened as his hips picked up the pace.  Her hips rose up to meet his as their bodies came together, parted, then came together again.  “Rae, I can’t wait,” Oded gasped, a shudder running through his body.  “God help me, I can’t wait.”  But Raegan was already shuddering her release and in the split second just before her body exploded something happened that neither one of them could explain.  They connected.  Not a psychic kind of connection, but a connection that bound them together.  It was as if their souls recognized each other and bonded.  And then Raegan cried out his name as her breath caught in her throat, her muscles contracting around him.  Oded thrust his hips several more times, then groaned his own release as he pumped his seed deep within her.  A moment later, he collapsed on top of her, then rolled until she was laying on top of him.

They both lay there, trying to get their breathing back under control.  Raegan rested her cheek against his chest listening to the pounding of his heart.  Oded wrapped his arms around her, his hand stroking her from her neck to her lower back.  Finally when he was breathing normally again, he said softly, “That was incredible.”

Raegan raised her head and smiled at him.  She looked thoroughly satisfied and Oded felt his chest puff up knowing that he had put that satisfied look on her face.  “If I was a cat, I would be purring right now.”

Oded chuckled and drew her face to his for a kiss.  His arms tightened around her, then released her as she laid her head back down on his chest.  His fingers worked the muscles of her back gently massaging up and down along her spine until her breathing grew even and he knew she’d fallen asleep.  Oded sighed as he wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head.  He’d never felt such a peace in his life.  They had connected during their lovemaking.  It had been subtle, but he’d felt it and he knew she had too.  He wasn’t sure exactly what it meant, but he did know that Raegan was very special and he was quickly losing his heart to her.  Closing his eyes, he was soon asleep too.
